IS YOUR BUILDING ENERGY EFFICIENT?
Have you ever wondered if your building is a super-star of efficiency, or if it’s fiendishly inflating your operating costs? With a Rümi Energy Audit, you can stop wondering and take pride knowing that your building is less expensive to operate, more environmentally friendly and more comfortable to be in.
Find customized solutions based on your goals, the specifics of your building and the needs of your occupants. We’ll include everything from no to low-cost behavioural changes to payback analysis for more substantial equipment upgrades.
ASHRAE Audit Level 1 – Walk-Through Analysis
This is the basic starting point for any building energy efficiency project. We’ll interview select facility staff, review utility bills or other operating data, and conduct a walkthrough of the building.
The goal here is to identify obvious candidates for energy efficiency. A data whiz will complete a preliminary report that details low-cost/no-cost measures you can implement right away, and any potentially larger opportunities you might want to take a closer look at.
This audit level is adequate for prioritizing energy efficiency projects and to assess whether a more detailed audit is necessary.
ASHRAE Audit Level 2 – Energy Survey and Analysis
This audit includes the information from the ASHRAE Level 1 analysis and adds:
- an in-depth analysis of energy costs, energy usage and building characteristics
- a more refined survey of how energy is used in your building
- a detailed energy and financial analysis of proposed energy efficiency measures
Your energy consumption is broken out by end-use, and we’ll identify solutions that present the greatest efficiency opportunities. During the audit, staff interviews include detailing building operations and identifying problem areas. We’ll also analyze your utility bills to determine if there are rate change opportunities and/or demand implications.
The level of detail in this audit is adequate to justify project implementation.
ASHRAE Audit Level 3 – Detailed Analysis of Capital-Intensive Projects
This is an engineering analysis of the potential capital-intensive projects identified in the ASHRAE Level 2 analysis.
- More field data is collected and coupled with a more robust energy analysis.
- A utility bill review is enhanced by sub-metering data of the largest energy consuming equipment and systems for additional insights.
This is an investment grade audit that is recommended to justify large or complex system upgrades.
