DUCT & FURNACE CLEANING

Spread happiness, not dust.

Your duct and furnace system circulate air and heat to create a comfortable space for your family. But dust and debris builds up in your duct system over time, circulating and re-circulating through the air you breathe. We can help with the regular cleaning and maintenance, so your home air system is clean and efficient.

Regular cleaning stops dust in its tracks, creating a clean breathing environment. It helps eliminate any unwanted dust, pollen or dander that may be circulating through your home. This is especially beneficial for those with allergies or respiratory sensitivities.

You'll even save money on energy usage. A dirty furnace can burn more fuel, making your system less efficient. If you’re interested in improving your home’s air quality and reducing your energy usage, contact us today to schedule a furnace and duct cleaning!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is duct cleaning?

Duct cleaning is the process of cleaning the ducts in your home's HVAC system. Dust, debris and buildup are removed with high-powered vacuums.

Besides built-up dust and dirt, there are other reasons regular air duct cleaning is a good idea.

Clean air ducts:

  • Are better for small children who are more sensitive to air quality
  • Improve symptoms in occupants or guests with allergies or asthma
  • Prevent water contamination or damage to the HVAC system
  • Remove cigarette smoke trapped in ducts
  • Remove dust created by any renovation project

Air duct cleaning is recommended every 2–3 years. If an excessive amount of dust is visible, or if you’ve had recent renovations, schedule a duct cleaning as soon as possible. Thick layers of dust can impact your energy usage, and your bill.

Most likely, yes. Dirt and debris can restrict airflow, causing your system to work harder and longer, requiring more energy.

By cleaning the HVAC system, you may not only see an increase in system efficiency (and enjoy lower energy bills), but you can also extend the life of your furnace or air conditioning system by reducing wear and tear.

A thorough duct cleaning generally takes between 90 minutes and 3 hours.

Here are some other services our duct and furnace experts can help with at the time of your appointment:

Move furniture away from vents before your appointment.

Ensure the path to the supply and return vent is cleared for the HVAC cleaner to reach.

Tip: Supply vents are smaller and are usually found on the floor or the ceiling. Return vents are larger and are typically placed on either the floor or bottom portion of the wall. We service both types of vents.

Avoid parking in your driveway/in front of your house so we can park our van as close to the door as possible.

No, we don’t suggest attempting to clean your own air ducts. It's a job best left up to the pros.

Without the right training and tools, you can damage your ducts — which can run up some serious repair bills. Professional duct and furnace experts know how to navigate any home’s system safely. They also have tools like rotary brushes and a high-powered vacuum, which are built for an optimal duct cleaning experience.

There are several benefits of duct cleaning. It removes built-up dust and dirt, reduces allergies or asthma symptoms, prevents water contamination or damage to the HVAC system, removes cigarette smoke trapped in ducts and removes dust created by renovations. All great reasons to get on a regular duct cleaning schedule with Rümi!

You can usually tell if your air ducts are dirty by looking at them. If they're coated in a thick layer of dust, it's time for a cleaning!

No, air duct cleaning will not damage your air ducts. By cleaning the HVAC system, you may not only see an increase in system efficiency (and enjoy lower energy bills), but you can also extend the life of your furnace or air conditioning system by reducing wear and tear.

Damage most often happens when people try to clean their air ducts as a DIY — without proper know-how or equipment. Our techs have both the expertise and tools to clean your air ducts safely without.

Dryer vent cleaning is the process of removing lint and debris from your laundry dryer vent. Duct cleaning is cleaning the ducts in your home's HVAC system. Both services are important for the efficiency and safety of your home.
