Humidifier Installation

We all know the air in Alberta is extremely dry, but there is no need to dry out!

Dry air can cause damage to your home and health—affecting your skin, hair, eyes, and throat. Proper humidity levels should be at about 35-45% and are essential for creating a healthy indoor environment.

A Rümi home humidification system adds moisture to the air and works with your heating system to circulate through every room. Stay warm and cozy without the problems associated with dry air.

This service is currently available in both Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and their surrounding areas.

Since every project is unique, our pricing is all estimate based. Don’t worry though, you won't receive a surprise bill. We will go over the entire project's costs with you before the work begins.

  • Why should I add a to humidifier my furnace?

Save energy: With proper humidity you will feel more comfortable at a slightly cooler temperature. Set your thermostat to a lower reading. Even in those chilly months you can save energy!

Protect your home: Consistent humidity is critical to prolonging the life of your wood furniture, flooring, plants, and instruments. Fluctuations in humidity cause things to swell with excess water then shrink when the air is dry. This expansion and contraction are hard on your household items, particularly anything made of wood. Splits, cracks, and shrinkage can result. A properly installed humidifier keeps moisture levels more consistent to protect your home and furnishings from fluctuating humidity.

Don’t be static: Reduce the amount of static electricity build-up in textiles around your home.

  • How does the humidifier work?

A whole-house humidifier is typically installed right in your ductwork/circulation system near your furnace. When air from your ducts enters the humidifier, it is exposed to the water inside. The water evaporates into the air, which increases the moisture levels of the air that exits the humidifier on the other side.

  • Where does the humidifier live in my home?

A whole-house humidifier is typically installed right in your ductwork/circulation system near your furnace.

  • How long does the humidifier install take?

Humidifier installation will typically take 1-2 hours. This is just an estimate and the technician can give you an estimate once they determine the scope of the project.

  • What does the tech need from me?

Make sure there is an easily accessible path to your furnace and main ducts. Don’t worry if you're not sure what ducts are important though, that’s what we’re for!
