Each product's rating, known as the PERFORMANCE GRADE (PG), is determined by considering a combination of its structural attributes and water resistance capabilities. Additionally, the North American Fenestration Standard (NAFS) classifies fenestration products into four PERFORMANCE CLASSES, each of which has its corresponding minimum PERFORMANCE GRADE requirements:

R: Residential (one and two-family) - minimum PG15

LC: Light Commercial (low-rise and multi-family dwellings) - minimum PG25

CW: Commercial Window (low-rise and multi-family dwellings, designed for higher loads and larger sizes) - minimum PG30  

AW: Architectural Window (for mid to high-rise buildings, under high exposure conditions) - minimum PG40
